UI concept for smart refrigerator

with the world rapidly moving towards the adaptation of smart IoT connected appliances, Customers are looking for appliances that can interact with them , using voice assistants and touch screens are the most opted approach by manufacturers.

The user interface for such devices should follow a few principles

○ Show the most vital information in the home-screen , so that the consumer gets a quick summary.

○ Be user-friendly, so that the consumer doesn't get intimidated , most consumers are already accustomed to their mobile phones , following the same design principles won't hurt.

○ Be very responsive whilst still having animations and sounds to interact better

The concept here follows these guidelines. The colour scheme of the cards gives the user a visual Que as to what it contains, there is a visual representation of the fridge that tells the user about capacity left of each compartment ,so that he/she can judge on where to store the items efficiently without having to open and close a filled compartment,wasting electricity .

A door counter also keeps track of how many times the door has been opened to discourage a user from opening a door too many times. helping them save power and maybe also helping them from unhealthy eating habits(stress eating).

the refrigerator also has access to third-party apps ,such as food delivery apps and podcast apps. Making it a portal to the the user's online connected world. A recipes widget helps out with recipies and maybe can also give the amount of ingredients present in storage and where, helping the
